Hopscotch (Chef Kyle's first restaurant) was known for their First Base Burger and we're excited to now offer it every day at Itani Ramen! In addition to house ground chuck, our team then brines, braises, slices, and then griddles tender beef tongue (trust us here) that is added on top of the patty with pickled shallots and other final toppings. It's so good!
WHAT IS HOPSCOTCH?
For 11 years, Hopscotch (Chef Kyle's first restaurant) was one of the best brunch spots in Oakland. Guests returned each weekend for the First Base Burger, Kimchi Fried Rice, Buttermilk Fried Chicken & more.
In 2023, Kyle transitioned Hopscotch to a catering business that customizes menus for events around the Bay Area. We then began offering Hopscotch favorites as an addition to our menu at Itani Ramen for daily dine-in and takeout.
For the summer we now have our Hopscotch Brunch Pop-Up that offers brunch classics every Saturday & Sunday from 11am - 3pm at Itani Ramen!
